After founding or drumming in some of the best-ever Minnesota bands, and serving as the “first call” drummer for countless R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Blues, and Rock & Roll bands, Vandell has taken on country music and now leads the hippest country band in the Twin Cities. Lucky for us Vandell decided to move out from behind his drum kit and showcase his versatile vocal talent.
For anyone who appreciates classic country music or wants to learn by hearing the best that country music has to offer, this is the band to see. Bobby’s ability to excel in multiple musical genre’s has attracted a group of fantastic world -class musicians to back him up in this worth-while musical trip. Vandell’s excellent vocals capture the beauty of the old standards with interpretations that are respectful without giving in to disingenuous country schmaltz.
